Levitate me up!

image

Back again this time on a shoot with the lovely Ann purkis a local model whom I’ve worked with a few times now and is a joy to work with as she wants my crazy side :).

For this particular shoot we went into a creepy basement and I decided to do myself a levitation shot for the blog so here you go.

The shot is made up of 2 seperate shots both of which were handheld

image

The first is of the room so I can have a good place to fill in the gaps using masks in Photoshop.

The second shot is the action shot where I perched Ann on a small table as seen then the job was simple then just a case of align them in Photoshop using auto align then just mask out the table.

From there I just edit to taste and for me this involved generally grunging  it up.

But in essence that’s how you do a levitation shot

Where have I been??

Hey folks I’m back!
Sorry I haven’t been posting recently its fair to say I’ve been in a little bit of a rutt  with the blog not knowing how to proceed with it plus I wanted to see how you were liking the photography content that I’ve set up to be automatic so you always have something photography related to read.

Seems to have gone down pretty well though messages that I have gotten some people miss my ramblings so I’m back to bring you some jay craziness.

So what have I been up too?
Well its been a bit mad for me I’ve been doing a whole bunch of creative stuff which I will be updating you with in in coming weeks including some fine art stuff and some dark stuff too.

Project 50
My latest endeavour has been to start my project 50 thing what is it?
Well they who ever they are say that restriction gives birth to creativity. Well ever one to push myself to be more creative have decided to embrace this concept and restrict myself to using one lens one focal length being 50mm.
Its a huge challenge but I reccomend it to anyone to try and just to make it a proper thing I have decided to do this for 3 whole months!

I’m scheduled!
I think part of the problem I was having with the blog was I had no structure and no regularity which was putting more pressure on me than it needed to.
So you will be hearing more from me on a more regular basis and where possible I will be scheduling 1 post a week to go out on a Sunday night so you have regularity 🙂
Any way thanks for reading I’m glad to be back the photo news and featured blogs will carry on as that’s an automatic process and people like it.
By all means pop by my main site at jay clapp photography or give me a like on my Facebook page at jay clapp photography facebook page
Thanks folks 🙂
